The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation is holding rate hearings today in Lake Buena Vista to solicit input from the public on rate filings by State Farm Florida Insurance Co.

State Farm has requested statewide average increases of 61.5 percent and 11.9 percent for homeowners and 95.3 percent for mobile homeowners. The requested rates are higher in some areas and are subject to higher or lower rate changes.

The hearings will be at noon and 6 p.m. at the Hilton Walt Disney Resort, 1751 Hotel Plaza Blvd.

Policyholders may speak at the hearings or if they cannot attend they can forward comments to Kristopher Duer at kristopher.duer@fldfs.com.
