White Paper Predicts That American Consumers Will Look to Their Insurance Companies for Identity Theft Solutions; Veterans Urged to Check with Their Insurance Agents for Identity Theft Solutions

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 15, 2006--In a white paper entitled Trends in the Development of Modern Identity Theft Solutions for the Insurance Industry, Identity Theft 911 concludes that by the end of 2006 American consumers will depend on their home, farm and auto insurance carriers for solutions to combat identity theft-related fraud.

"The development of identity theft solutions is virtually industry-wide," said Adam Levin, Chairman of Identity Theft 911. "We estimate that at least 10% of American households currently benefit from some form of identity theft coverage and/or resolution services. By the end of the year, the level could approach 25%. For this reason, we strongly urge veterans and active duty servicemen and women, who feel that their identities may have been compromised in the recent VA breach of 26 million American veterans, to check with their insurance agent for this type of coverage.

"Contemporary insurance-based identity theft programs often incorporate services to address proactive inquiries from potential security breach victims," said Identity Theft 911's President and author of the white paper, Steve Christenson. "You don't have to be a victim of identity theft to need professional assistance in managing your personal identifiers. Cutting-edge policies were designed with these needs in mind."

Property and casualty insurance carriers with programs that provide proactive inquiry services and identity theft resolution include:

America First Lloyds
