LONDON, July 28 (Reuters) - Citigroup <C.N> has hired six bankers from rival Lehman Brothers <LEH.N> for its diversified financial services team based in New York, the bank said on Friday.
Henry Michaels is joining the bank as co-head of diversified financial services, alongside existing head Craig Stines.
Michaels will be joined by five other colleagues: John Roddy, a managing director, Jerry Wiant, a director, Sean Burke, a vice president and associates John Minor and Donald Lacey.
Michaels has worked on a number of financial deals, including Royal Bank of Scotland's <RBS.L> acquisition of U.S. bank Charter One and Washington Mutual's purchase of Dime Bancorp.
He will report to Hamid Biglari, Citigroup's global head of financial institutions.
