VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(MARKET WIRE)--Jul 19, 2007 -- WebTech Wireless Inc. (Toronto:

News), a leading fleet Telematics products and services provider, has agreed with Volkswagen Brazil that the latter will facilitate meetings with major insurance companies in Brazil. The objective of the meetings is to expand the offering of aftermarket Telematics services for anti-theft applications. The meetings will occur over the next several weeks and constitute a first milestone of WebTech Wireless' revised strategy for expanding market share in the Brazilian Personal Automotive Telematics market. This new strategy is based on four goals, namely: appointing an established master distributor for Brazil to replace WebTech Wireless' current distributor; monetizing the more than 80,000 active WebTech Wireless Locators in Brazil; concluding agreements with insurance companies to facilitate the aftermarket Telematics anti-theft service for new subscribers who purchase Volkswagen vehicles in Brazil; and to create sufficient market demand to allow Volkswagen Brazil to recommence assembly line installations of WebTech locators on Volkswagen production lines in Brazil.
"Brazil continues to represent a huge opportunity for WebTech Wireless," said Anwar Sukkarie, President and CEO of WebTech Wireless. "We currently have no commercial agreements with Volkswagen Brazil but there are over 60,000 brand new Volkswagen vehicles with factory installed WebTech Locator units and we are thus very pleased with Volkswagen Brazil's generous gesture to facilitate meetings with major Brazilian insurance companies. We will support our current customers through a feasible migration plan, add new subscribers, and generally execute on creating the demand to justify returning to the assembly line installation process."
"Volkswagen Brazil is assisting an anti-theft program that we launched earlier this year with installations on our assembly lines then modified to become an aftermarket installation," commented an official at Volkswagen Brazil. "We wish WebTech Wireless success in their meetings."
