PARSIPPANY, N.J. (AP) -- Prudential Real Estate Investors on Monday said it has acquired Round Hill Capital Partners Kabushiki Kaisha, in a move to give the company a presence in Japan.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Prudential Real Estate Investors, which has operated in Asia since 1994 through its Pramerica Real Estate Investors office in Singapore, is the real estate investment management and advisory business of Prudential Financial Inc.

Round Hill has provided exclusive asset management services to Prudential Real Estate Investors since 2003, and already has arranged 19 investments totaling $1.5 billion for PREI's pan-Asian and retail strategies in Japan.

Shares of Prudential rose 13 cents to $96.64 in morning trading.
