Marsh & McLennan Cos. (MMC) intends to consolidate its global insurance broking business into two divisions - U.S./Canada and international - to improve efficiencies within the company.
The New York insurance broker and risk advisor Thursday named Joseph McSweeney president of the U.S./Canada division. McSweeney was recently chairman of the Willis Risk Solutions segment of insurance broker Willis Group Holdings Ltd. (WSH).
Alexander Moczarksi, chief executive of the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, will serve as president of the international division, the company said.
Marsh also said that Alexander W. Vietor, who joined Marsh in December, will serve as president of Marsh's Global Specialties unit.
