From now on, brokers will simply have to log on to insurance regulator IRDA's website to file annual returns on-line reports Economic Times.

IRDA has designed and tested an automated system and brokers are required to register with the portal for filing returns, IRDA Chairman C S Rao said in a circular to all insurance brokers.

Brokers have been told to submit the data online for the financial years 2003-04, 2004-05 and also for the year during which the license was granted, before June 30. The data submission for the year 2005-06 should be completed on or before September 30, it said. For all the above years, brokers would have to send hard copies generated from the portal to IRDA duly signed by the principal officer.
