International, today announced that it will host two free conferences that
will focus on the development of XBRL and how interactive data can reduce
costs, increase productivity and improve data quality.
The first conference, "More Data or Smarter Data? Increasing the Value
and Timeliness of Business Information Using XBRL," is scheduled for June
27, 2006 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., EDT at the FDIC Seidman Center in
Arlington, VA. Intended for government CFOs, CIOs, and financial management
professionals, the event will focus on the public sector and will highlight
specific applications of XBRL designed for government agencies.
Keynote speakers for the Arlington, VA event will include Congressman
Richard Baker, Chairman, Subcommittee on Capital Markets, Insurance, and
Government Sponsored Enterprises (invited); Sam Mok, CFO of the Department
of Labor; and Mary Mitchell, Deputy Associate Administrator, Office of
Technology Strategy, General Services Administration. The program will be

The June 29-30, 2006 New York event, "Transforming Financial Reporting
and Analysis with XBRL," will be held at the Microsoft Briefing Center in
Manhattan, located at 1290 Avenue of the Americas. The two-day symposium
will consist of a conference on June 29 and an XBRL training session on
June 30.
Catering to analysts, investors and financial executives at public
companies, the conference on June 29 will cover analytical applications,
external and internal business information reporting, and training on the
Securities & Exchange Commission's Voluntary Filing Program. Keynote
speakers will include Ric Marshall, Chief Analyst and co-Founder, The
Corporate Library; Colleen Cunningham, President and CEO, Financial
Executives International; and Trevor Harris, Vice Chairman of Client
