SACRAMENTO, CA--(MARKET WIRE)--Dec 11, 2007 -- InsWeb Corp. (NasdaqCM:INSW - News) - InsWeb today announced that it will launch its new AgentInsider® Agent Directory on January 4, 2008. The Directory will significantly extend the reach of insurance agents by providing them a cost effective way to connect with the millions of online consumers searching for a local insurance agent.

Unlike other online directories that show the consumer hundreds or thousands of insurance listings in their area, AgentInsider's Agent Directory is insurance-specific and will show the consumer only eight local agents. Agents are able to target any or all counties within 25 miles of their office and can display their contact information and a link to their website. Space for agents of any given carrier affiliation will be limited in each county, based on population. Only one agent per carrier will be allowed to participate in almost 85% of counties. InsWeb anticipates that many of the smaller counties will be filled quickly. Initially, InsWeb will target the more than 125,000 Auto and Home agents for participation. It plans to make the Directory available to agents distributing Life, Health and other insurance lines sometime in the future.
