BUFFALO, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GEICO, the largest private passenger auto insurer in New York, recently named Steve Cunningham regional vice president of its Buffalo operations. Greg Jacobi was also named assistant vice president of underwriting for Buffalo.
Steve Cunningham
Cunningham joined GEICO in 1978 as a claims examiner and held a variety of positions in sales and service, claims, underwriting and planning. In 1994, Cunningham became assistant vice president of the residual market profit center. He went on to serve as assistant vice president for claims in GEICO’s Woodbury, N.Y., regional office and then assistant vice president for underwriting in its regional headquarters in Fredericksburg, Va. In 1999, Cunningham served as assistant vice president of GEICO’s property center in Fredericksburg before moving to take on general management responsibilities for the Buffalo, N.Y., office in 2006.
Cunningham holds a bachelor’s degree in resource management from SUNY Syracuse and a master’s of business administration from C.W. Post University in Brookville, N.Y. He earned his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1995.
Greg Jacobi
Jacobi joined GEICO in 1993 as an insurance counselor in the Woodbury, N.Y., regional office, and then worked in education and training before being named a sales and service supervisor and then administrator. He also managed operational services and planning and control in the region. Jacobi was promoted to sales and service director for GEICO’s operations in Buffalo when the office opened in 2004. He also was chosen to serve in the executive assistant program at GEICO headquarters in 2006.
Jacobi holds a bachelor’s degree in management and communications from Adelphi University in New York. He earned his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriting (CPCU) designation in 2006 and the Automobile Claims Associate designation in 2007.
