(Bestwire Service Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) NEWARK, N.J. (BestWire) - Prudential Financial Inc. has named Bernard Jacob senior vice president and treasurer, effective Aug. 1.

Jacob will be responsible for the company's capital and liquid management, corporate finance, and banking and cash management.

He joined Prudential as head of strategy and business development for their domestic insurance group in January 2002. In March 2004 he became senior financial officer for Prudential's domestic individual life and annuities business.

Prudential Financial companies offer life insurance, mutual funds, annuities, pension and retirement-related services in addition to other products.
