LANCASTER, Pa., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Eastern Insurance Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: EIHI - News; EIHI) announced today that subsidiary Eastern Life & Health Insurance Company (ELH) will move its offices this weekend to EIHI's headquarters.

 At 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday, October 26, ELH will close its office on 202 North Prince Street, Lancaster and move into EIHI's headquarters on 25 Race Avenue, Lancaster. ELH's operations will resume at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on Monday, October 30. EIHI and subsidiary Eastern Alliance Insurance Group (EAIG) will remain open during their normal business hours on Friday, October 27.

The move means that all of EIHI's domestic operations will operate under the same roof. ELH provides group life, dental and disability insurance to customers in sixteen states. EAIG provides workers' compensation products and services to businesses and self-insured clients in Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.

EIHI is a publicly traded holding company that operates through its subsidiaries a domestic casualty insurance group specializing in workers' compensation, a domestic accident and life insurance company, an offshore specialty reinsurance company and a third-party claims administration company.
