EW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--For the third consecutive year, MetLife, Inc. (NYSE:

News) has been
recognized by the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) as
Top Company for Executive Women. MetLife earned the honor for its
continued focus on promoting and retaining women in senior positions.
According to NAFE, women are making history not only in the political
arena in 2008, but also in the private sector, with women advancing into
the highest ranks of major U.S. corporations.
At MetLife more than 50% of the workforce is women and almost 40% of
positions at the senior management level are occupied by women. Beyond
numbers, NAFE also looked at the programs and policies that MetLife
offers to support women’s advancement.

The National Association for Female Executives (NAFE), founded in 1972,
is the largest women's professional and business owners’
