Shaw, CLU, ChFC as the new executive director of the Life Insurers Council (LIC). The LIC is a council of LOMA.

Shaw brings with him a several years of field experience in the insurance and financial services industry, including work in property/casualty, life insurance, investments, and financial planning. Most recently, Shaw was senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Unity Mutual Life Insurance Company, where his responsibilities involved annuities, pre-need, final expense, home service, and group products. As executive director of the LIC, Shaw will work from the Windsor, Conn. offices of LIMRA International, which like LOMA, is a unit of LL Global.

The Life Insurers Council, traditionally serving the needs of small niche market companies offering pre-need, final expense and small face amount policies, is continuing to reposition itself as the premier association for small to medium life insurance companies, regardless of distribution method.
