News) will make donations totaling $5 million in honor of Prudential
’s recently retired chairman and CEO, Art Ryan.
The company will contribute $4 million to the endowment of the Newark Museum and $1 million to the Campaign for New Jersey Performing Arts Center.
Prudential has a long-standing relationship with the Newark Museum through grants from The Prudential Foundation and sponsorships funded directly from Prudential. The Museum also has received donations of artifacts from the company, most recently the loan of a Dale Chihuly artwork for the museum’s 2007 show of art glass.
Prudential and The Prudential Foundation have supported NJPAC since the late 1980s through significant financial and other support.
