The Mississippi Insurance Department has a page explaining how to file a claim after a hurricane. Homeowners should document all damage with photos and/or video and file any claims as soon as possible. The MID Coast office will be available to assist in filing claims.

JACKSON — Mississippi has received nearly $400,000 as part of a multi-state settlement agreement with HealthMarkets Inc., and its affiliated companies, MEGA Life and Health Insurance Company, Mid-West National Life Insurance Company and Chesapeake Life Insurance Company, according to the Mississippi Insurance Department (MID).
